Want to protect your customers data? Of course you do! This is why all PinnacleCart stores come with a free Shared SSL. Providing a secure environment is essential in establishing trust and building a successful store. Your customers need to know that their information is safe when they enter in their payment information and personal data into your website. This is exactly what an SSL provides.
Shared SSL or Dedicated SSL?
What is the difference?
Simple answer –
The URL used for the HTTPS (secure) pages. Let us explain: With a Shared SSL the HTTPS URL for your store would be something like the following: https://yourdomain.mypinnaclecart.com. With a Dedicated SSL the HTTPS URL for your store wouldn’t include ‘mypinnaclecart.com’ at all, instead it would be something like the following: https://www.yourdomain.com.
Long answer –
The Shared SSL is a single certificate that can be used by all PinnacleCart clients, whereas a dedicated SSL is a unique certificate that is generated for use on your website only. PinnacleCart recommends using dedicated SSL because it establishes a higher level of trust and ensures that the entire shopping experience for your customers is branded under your own URL.
