Selling products using DOBA through Pinnacle Cart
After signing up for Doba via http://www.doba.com/partners/pinnacle, you will then want to log into your Pinnacle Cart administrative area which is typically located at http://www.yourdomain.com/admin.php.
Once you get logged in you will want to click on Marketing then Doba Integration as illustrated below:
Now that you are on the Doba integration page, click on Settings to begin the setup.
On the Settings page you will want to plug in your Doba Username (usually an email address), Password, and Retailer ID (usually a 7-8 digit number) and set your automation choices for orders and inventory management. To save this information, click on Save Settings at the bottom of the page.
After hitting Save Settings you should see a new option appear for sending an activation request. This step is very important as your integration will not work until this is done.
What this does is sends a request to your Doba account to allow your shopping cart to access your Watchlists. To finalize it, the next time you log into your Doba account you will get a screen similar to this:
Make sure you choose Yes and then hit the green continue button and you will be fully configured to into interact with Doba via your Pinnacle Cart installation.
Pinnacle Cart utilizes the Watchlist system from Doba to build your product inventory. In order to import your products, you will need to make sure and have your lists setup first. For information on doing so, please see https://support.doba.com/cgi-bin/doba.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_sid=CltNvB3k&p_redirect=1&p_faqid=267&page_width=800&page_height=513&p_sid=CltNvB3k
To bring in your Watch Lists, you will want to click onto the Import tab of your Doba management area inside Pinnacle Cart.
Here you have the option to adjust the base pricing of the products you bring in, choose your product price appearance, and set an inventory rule for importing. Once you have configured those options, you’ll then want to check off the Watchlist you want to import and hit Update Products.
After the import is completed you can then go to the front end of the shopping cart to see the fruits of your labor via http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php on most installations. Below is an example of what you could see:
One of the key advantages of this integration is that won’t have to worry about order fulfillment or shipping costs as Doba takes care of that end of things. All you need to do is plug in your merchant account information under Cart Settings > Payment Gateways and you’ll be good to go. If you have any questions on this setup, please feel free to contact us at 1 800 506 0398 or issue a customer support ticket.
